Eurorepar Car Service (ERCS) has announced an ambitious expansion strategy that aims to grow its UK network to 1,000 independent garage members by 2031, positioning the organisation among the country’s largest multi-brand workshop networks.

The growth plans come alongside significant investment in business support, operational coaching and digital tools designed to help independent garages improve profitability while maintaining their independence.

Stronger support for independent garages

As part of the expansion programme, Eurorepar Car Service has appointed seven new Business Performance Managers to provide nationwide coverage across the UK.

Their role extends beyond recruitment, with a focus on helping existing members strengthen every aspect of their businesses through:

  • Business performance coaching
  • Operational efficiency improvements
  • Customer service development
  • Workshop management software
  • Business management tools
  • Closer integration with the Distrigo parts distribution network

The strategy reflects the increasing demand from independent garages for support that goes beyond discounted parts, instead offering practical assistance with running a modern workshop.

Growth built on member success

Neil Gibbs, UK Country Manager for Octago and Head of the Eurorepar Car Service network, said the organisation has spent considerable time strengthening its infrastructure before accelerating recruitment.

He explained that the network now has the people, systems and capacity needed to support both existing members and future growth.

According to Gibbs, reaching 1,000 members by 2031 is considered an achievable target that would establish Eurorepar Car Service as one of the UK’s largest independent garage networks. However, he stressed that supporting current members remains the priority, with long-term expansion expected to follow naturally from helping workshops become more successful.

Investment follows wider Stellantis strategy

The UK announcement aligns with Stellantis’ broader European aftermarket strategy.

Earlier this year, Stellantis announced the rollout of Octago, a joint venture with MSX International that combines field-based business support, advanced analytics and AI-powered performance tools to strengthen the Eurorepar Car Service network across Europe.

The initiative aims to help independent workshops improve operational efficiency, increase profitability and meet the standards required to join the network, while expanding coverage in key European markets.

The investment demonstrates Stellantis’ continued commitment to the independent aftermarket at a time when workshops are facing increasing pressure from vehicle electrification, advanced diagnostics and growing customer expectations.

What it means for UK workshops

For independent garages, membership of a national workshop network can provide access to benefits that would otherwise be difficult to obtain independently.

These typically include:

  • National marketing support
  • Technical and business training
  • Performance benchmarking
  • Preferred parts supply
  • Business consultancy
  • Fleet opportunities
  • Workshop software and management tools

Unlike franchised dealer programmes, Eurorepar Car Service allows garages to retain their own identity while benefiting from manufacturer-backed support.

A competitive aftermarket landscape

Competition between workshop networks has intensified in recent years as independent garages seek new ways to improve profitability and attract customers.

With increasing investment in digital tools, business intelligence and operational support, networks are evolving from simple buying groups into comprehensive business development partnerships.

Eurorepar Car Service believes that expanding its membership base will increase buying power, strengthen investment in training and technology, and create greater value for every member garage as the network grows.

Looking ahead

If Eurorepar Car Service achieves its target of 1,000 UK members by 2031, it would represent one of the most significant expansions in the independent workshop sector in recent years.

For garages weighing up the benefits of joining a network, the announcement highlights how support is increasingly centred on business performance, technology and long-term profitability rather than parts supply alone.

As vehicle technology continues to evolve, access to technical expertise, operational coaching and data-driven business support is likely to become an increasingly important differentiator for independent workshops across the UK aftermarket.
