Thanks KevG for your reply. The car is an early 2003 Peugeot 206GLX with 23k. Two days, after I bought it from a local Peugeot dealer, it developed a flat spot, a top speed of 55mph and various engine warning lights. After the garage made two unsuccessful attempts to repair it, I rejected it and am trying to get my money back through the courts. I just wondered if there might be a link with the MOT. I think I’ll follow up the emissions test point you made.
