I started this thread because I wanted to know why we should accept the DVLA’s version of the VIN when we can see that the VIN on the vehicle is different.
eg WOLOOO89GV1234567 on vehicle, but W01000BGVL1234S67 in mot test record.

The VTS device prompts us to ignore such errors & use their version !

If I find a wrong VIN, I create a new test record…
