Was that ‘inadequate repair’ something that had been done just prior to this MOT test, or had it been done for a previous year’s MOT test and was passed then…?
If the ‘old’ system was in place whereby major item failures resulted in a FULL RETEST, would you have found / failed this inadequate repair even though your other tested missed it… ?
What was the inadequate repair ?
– a plate held on with silicon
– a plate rivetted on
– poorly welded
– thin guage metal ?
What was the outcome of the appeal with regard to the other tester ?
