I’ve just bought a used car from a franchised dealer. I took delivery last week and this weekend was polishing up the alloy wheels. To do this properly I took them off the car. When doing the last wheel, I found it to be cracked in three places on the edge of the wheel rim. Each crack was the entire width of the rim lip. It’s obvious these cracks aren’t new because the paint around the cracks is bubbling. I reckon they are at least 6 months old.
The MOT was done in late June 2008. Is it OK for cracked wheels like this to pass an MOT?
