Hi Wes;

(3.7A.5C/6) is clearly an issue as you point out. Your second part makes no sense, what are you talking about?

The mot test is not designed to start to advise repairers how to repair mot test failures, if a technician is not compentent to understand vehicle systems and components, then leave the job to the professionals, we are talking about mot minimum standards and minimum levels of road safety for a test, the repairer should be working to much higher standards, and not require advise from a tester how to fix a vehicle.

Oh!:shock:

What about Educating Our Trainees?:? Assisting our Reception Staff?:?

Sorry We Don`t All attend University and Attain Degrees in Idiosyncracy!:P

Most of us attended College and gained a Valuable Qualification, “Not To Suffer Fools Gladly”:P

Wes, you totally misunderstand what I meant, your own workshop staff and reception yes to passing on information, but to educate outside mechanics how to fix mot related problems, I didn’t think computerisation was designed for that?

This is not to say if you choose to advise, then do so no problem, but computerisation would not do that, which is what I meant.

Sorry for any misunderstanding
