thanks for offer of weld in hull if we get sunny day may drop the roof and take you up on it………….

to recent post no theres no drain hole in well under seat which has lead to the corrosion i have sorted the leak now.

yes hole can be seen from under seat and outside looking up from rear wheel the hole is its self 1cm but with rot surrounding this 8cm x 4cm .

from the hole to seat anchorage it over 12″ but to seat lock its 8″ so would that be fail then.

Are We lost in the Fauna?:?

Offside (Drivers Side) “Rear Seat”! Thats, Offside Rear Passengers Seat! and from Memory is hinged on its forward facing side, to allow it to be tilted and then the rear backrest section folds down neatly to allow room for larger items purchased?

There are no seatbelt anchorages attached to what most would describe as a rear seat squab with a locking/securing device.

So on which Tangent is this post going to go before its conclusion?:?

ps;- hole is “Only” 1cm? I thought original was 10cm?:?

good evening ladies and gents,

i wonder if any one could inform me if a corrosive hole under the rear driver side seat would be considered a mot fail, its not really a hole more rust, ive read the 30cm rule and it dosent seem to impose on this but iam no mechanic.

car in question is a peugeot 205 convertable and corrosion is about centre under the seat ant ideas thanks

booya?

I Think central under drivers seat is a fail, if a measure of the width of a seat frame is taken, they are approximately 30 cm across, so corrosion central, it must be within 30cm of seat frame to mounting point of seat belt locking stork?
