Thanks all, for your help; sorry I didn’t say but it is diesel. On the first test the tester did not attempt to measure exhaust because there was a ‘major leak’ in the rear box. I would have liked to have had the measurement done though. The test was not abandoned or aborted, it just said “Emissions not tested 8.2.2.2 (e).
When I asked DVSA by phone the first customer assistant wasn’t sure when I asked if that was a valid reason so he referred it to a scheme manager (?) who responded “every effort should be made” to perform the measurement required.
So without any reading from the original or the retest I don’t know what the results were. I understand from the helpful responses here that even though I did not receive a printout from either test or retest, the VTS [i]will[/i]have the results on file for three months and will be able to give me a copy. I think! Also what’s VAG? Mine is a Peugeot 807.
