Hello, I’ve just bought a 2015 new shape S-Max, the centre console has a passenger airbag indicator, if I disable the airbag the light indicates and says “OFF”, but if I enable it, the light says “ON”. It is permanently lit. There are no warning lights inside the instrument cluster, this light is above the stereo controls on the centre console.
It seems strange to me that this should be permanently illuminated but the Ford dealer I purchased the vehicle from said it’s normal.
Have any MOT testers come across this and either failed a car or passed it because it’s normal? I am struggling to get a definitive answer.
