Hello. I have a 2004 Nissan micra 1.5 dci. My ABS warning light comes on and goes off as it should when I start my car and set off. However, after some time, whilst driving, the Abs light comes on and stays on. It resets when I turn the engine off and restart, but the same issue occurs the next journey or at least most journeys. I suspect it might be a failing wheel speed sensor, and I know I will need to get the fault whatever it is addressed. However, what I would like to know is if the light coming on during driving will be picked up by an M. O.T test and will result in an M. O. T failure.
As I said, the ABS light only comes on when the car is driven (and even then not until at least after a few minutes of driving) and since the car is unlikely to be driven as part of the m.o.t test, I am unsure whether the ABS light coming on whilst driving problem would be picked up. Is there any part of the test that could pick it up and fail the car if the light works as it should during switching on and ignition?
Many thanks for any advice and help.
