Hi,
my transit failed its mot. All the work was done and the van was taken back to the MOT station on the 9th work day after the failure.
The garage used to have two testers, 1 left leaving 1 tester. When I returned the tester who was left (the one that did my test) was off sick but should hopefully have been back to work on the 11th day. the garage booked me in for the 11th day for a retest. I turned up on the 11th day and he was not back at work and potentially was off work for another week.
The garage couldn’t do the retest despite being told I could return in 10 working days. I am sympathetic to the garages staffing issue and the trouble they are having but should I have to have the MOT carried out elsewhere and at an additional £45 cost and a presumable further 3 or 4 day delay? What are my options?
