My scabby old car failed its mot because the fuel flap did not open. I had never had this problem and could not replicate it. At the retest – the Problem returned – retest blown – I need to pay again. Since then, I cannot recreate the issue.
If I remove the flap, will this be an mot problem? There is a proper screw on fuel cap that seals perfectly.
Eventually, I will find a way of bypassing the solinoid, but for now, I just need to be sure I don’t mess the mot guy around (and have to pay a third time)
All advice greatfully received
