Had a recent warning light pop up on my 2015 BMW.
Car is going to be in for it’s MOT soon and was wondering if anyone could advise if the activation of such a warning light is an MOT failure?
The warning pops up every time you start the car. You have to press OK to make the message disappear from the screen.
The warning message is this…
“Driver Restraint System fault”.
I’ve attached a photo of the full message.

Warning messages on dashboard displays are not a defect in their own right, but may assist the tester in determining that the warning lamp is illuminated because a malfunction exists.. is the srs warning lamp staying on, if so its a fail.
Thanks for the reply, yes it does stay on all the time. As such looks like I’ll need to get it seen to sooner rather than later!
