Had the same thing myself many years ago , here I was minding my own business when blue lights appeared behind me , stopped & car checked over in the usual roadside fashion , copper gave me a defect form for n/s/r tyre .
half hour later I was stopped by another copper who insisted that the problem was the o/s/r tyre ( when I showed him the defect form he accused me of swapping the tyres from side to side 😀 )
so he decided to give me a defect form as well & said he would just write “tyres” as he seemed to think I was swapping them around , even though I wasn’t .
the tyres were replaced the next day & both defect forms stamped .
